Nitya Menen to become a director

Nitya Menen is a talented actress. she is one actress who was very choosy in her roles and most of the times her roles won the accolades of audience as well as critics. Couple of days ago, she was chosen as the 'Best Actress' by the Filmfare for her performance in Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindhe. When everyone thought she will be taking up her career with more josh, the actress has other plans.

Nitya Menen is planning to direct a film. That is not going to be very easy project too as she is intending to make the movie in 4 languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali languages. The project reportedly is a women centric script and Nitya Menen is currently working on the script and she will be announcing the project very soon. There are very few female directors in Tollywood. Only Nandini Reddy and B.Jaya are active right now. They are churning out films at a very slow rate. Also there is no female director so far in Telugu who made films at a time in these many languages. Perhaps there are not many female directors down the South who did this feat. So, Nitya Menen is certainly going to start a new trend down the South.
