Money Minded Kajal turns down item song!

Couple of days ago, we have announced that Kajal Agarwal will be dancing for an item number in Geethanjali movie. But it is not happening now. The actress the other day on her Facebook page revealed that she is not working on any special song and she will be intimating that directly if she signs something like that. She sounded as if that news was fake but the real reason is different

 It is said that the actress had demanded a whopping 35 Lakhs for the item song. The makers have tried to negotiate the deal since Geethanjali is a low budget film but Kajal was adamant in her stance and has refused to do the song for even a rupee less than 35 Lakhs. So, the makers of Geethanjali are looking for other options. They wanted to have a star heroine in the song to get the film some hype. Initially they approached Samantha to do the song but she refused saying that it will be 'too spicy' for her to do. If Kajal or Samantha did the song, they would have joined the elite club of star heroines turning in to item girls. Shruti Hassan with Aagadu and Tamannah with Alludu Seenu are already part of this club. Geethanjali is a horror comedy starring actress Anjali in the lead role. Popular writer Kona Venkat is turning producer with this film which is being directed by a debutante Raj Kiran. Kona himself had penned this script. The makers are planning to release the audio (scored by Praveen Lakkaraju) in the second week of July and the movie in August.
